Shelley R. Roth has a gift for extracting untapped human potential. As founder and president, of Springboard Ventures, Inc., she has groomed entrepreneurs for success and worked with individuals and business groups seeking higher levels of personal satisfaction and development. Her passion for business coupled with her compassion for the individual has proven to be an unbeatable combination.
Since 2007, Shelley has been training, consulting and speaking on how to incorporate social media marketing tools into existing marketing plans for increased brand recognition and sales.

Shelley’s talents and background are diverse. As a leader in social media marketing, Shelley inspires and empowers individuals and businesses to achieve higher levels of productivity and growth through creative sales and marketing initiatives. She has authored Get Real, People! How to Use Social Media for Real-ationship Marketing and Shedding Your Sales Shark: Lessons from a Recovering Sales Shark & How to Apply Them to Social Media Marketing and Life. In 2003, she began accepting speaking and training engagements on topics ranging from business development; growing sales channels; social media marketing and diversity topics. 

Shelley serves on the advisory boards of several technology start-ups, has served as a mentor and member of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, the Houston Technology Center and MIT Forum, and has worked with over a dozen entrepreneurial ventures in various stages of development. She was a founding member of The Greater Houston Partnership, Emerging Business Council and has served as a judge for the Rice Alliance SW Business Plan Competition and Texas A&M Technology Transfer Competition and has worked closely with angel and institutional investors in the entrepreneurial communities of both Houston and Austin. She has spoken at numerous events in the Houston marketplace. 

Beginning her career in education, Shelley was nominated as teacher of the year and served as an assistant principal and guidance counselor for a 1200 student school district. She created and launched the first state mandated program for gifted students. 

Shelley earned Masters Degrees in Psychology and Educational Administration from Youngstown & Slippery Rock Universities respectively.
