Dr. Wendy Johnson grabs your attention with a straight-talk approach to speaking engagements. She specializes in common sense wisdom presented in an uncommonly insightful way encouraging audiences around the country to build self-esteem and strive for excellence, both personally and professionally.

She is the creative force behind the National Empowerment Group, Inc., a non-profit organization that develops programs to help young people reach their goals, while providing the social support needed to succeed. Dr. Wendy has authored “Missing in Action—Black Women in the Boardroom”, addressing the disparity of African American women in high-level executive positions despite the gains they have made in education and their increasing level of responsibility.

Dr. Wendy’s formal education includes a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting/Economics, Master of Arts in Business Administration and Doctorate in Administration and Management.  She is currently an education consultant and has served as an Accounting Director and the Regional Dean of Academic Affairs/Executive Trainer at Kaplan Higher Education Corporation, and Chief Academic Officer at the University of Phoenix – Houston Campuses. 

Always willing to share her wisdom and insight, Dr. Wendy discusses topics affecting the community on her weekly Internet radio show “Let’s Talk With Dr. Wendy.” She is active in the community and spends much of her time motivating and educating youth and adults.
